2022년 11월 12일 클라이밋 보이스 (Climate Voice) 제안으로 환경단체 원주민단체 노조 및 파키스탄 이집트 이민자 단체가 연대한 COP27 대응 시위에 참여했습니다. 당시COP27이 열리고 있던 이집트의 인권상황과 그린워싱에 대한 경고, 파키스탄의 수해 상황에 대한 공유, 환경이슈에 대한 국제 사회의 적극적 대응을 촉구하는 집회 였습니다. 대부분의 영어 피켓 속에서 한글 팻말을 들고 있어서 뿌듯했습니다.

On November 12, 2022, HNET joined the COP27 protests, which were organized by environmental and Aboriginal groups, along with Pakistani and Egyptian immigrant communities, in response to a call by Climate Voice. The demonstration called for urgent action on human rights in Egypt, addressed the issue of floods in Pakistan, and demanded aggressive measures to tackle climate change by the global community.

It was heartening to see Korean signs among the sea of English signs, indicating a growing concern among the Korean community for these issues. We were proud to have been involved in this initiative, lending our support to this diverse and globally important cause.
