기후위기 내몰라라, 화석연료 확대 지원

To keep pace with a global economy that relies on fossil fuels for over 80% of its energy, Trump wants to remove all impediments to oil and natural gas drilling. He claims this will create energy prices that are on par with or cheaper than China’s, controlling inflation and creating more jobs. He would withdraw from the Paris Agreement and oppose all radical leftist Green New Deal policies. He would immediately end all of Biden’s energy policies, including wind subsidies, and would bolster nuclear power.
As I read the roughly 5,000-word piece, I felt more than horrified; I felt hopeless. Biden’s Green New Deal would promote green energy and expand electric vehicles, reversing the progress made towards zero-carbon. If Trump is re-elected in the November 5 election, Biden’s current weakness compared to Trump is no cause for alarm.
